George K5TR had a new house party on April 10, 1999. Most of the guests were members of the Central Texas DX and Contest Club (CTDXCC) and the University of Texas Amateur Radio Club (UTARC). The new house is located on almost 15 acres of land in the Texas Hill Country, about eight miles due east of Johnson City, TX, EM00. This was the first time that most of the guests had been to the new QTH.
These photos were taken by Robert Barron KA5WSS and Ken Harker WM5R.
The view of the house from the front drive. The antenna on the side of
the house is for television reception. The Rohn 45 top section in the lawn
was being used as the anchor for a 7' kite.

monoband yagis for 20M, 15M, 10M, and 2M. Some of the Telrex antennas
still have their original corona balls on the element ends.

This is the currently operational antenna farm at K5TR. This is a
vertical that works on 40M, 20M, 15M, and 10M. The red wires fanning
out from the base are 40M radials. The shed in the background is the well
house. Out of frame to the left is a 30M inverted V wire dipole.

This is the beginnings of the K5TR contest station: a Kenwood TS-850SAT and
a PC. Ken KM5FA is tuning the radio while
Monique N3TNN/5 listens. On top of the radio, you can see a couple of
alligators and a Super CMOS Keyer II. On the table in the background are
some of the awards and photos that will eventually be hung on the wall.

lawn in the foreground, when most of the guests first arrived,
it was flying unattended, anchored to a Rohn 45 top section.
